READ THE CHEF'S JOURNEY+
Hello everyone. My name is Andrey Legkiy. I'm the Head Chef at Rockfish Cliffside.
I began my career in 2000 in St. Petersburg as a line baker at the renowned James Cook bakery on Shvedsky Tupik, opposite Kazan Cathedral. In 2003, I moved to Flagman restaurant, first as Senior Pastry Chef and then as Head Pastry Chef.
In 2006, I was invited as a sous chef at the newly opened Ginza restaurant, where I hosted culinary tours for renowned chefs from France and Italy. In 2009, I opened the renowned Tiffany Café as Head Chef with Michelin-starred Antonio Pisaniello.
In 2011, I moved to Moscow and joined the opening team of Nobu. In 2014, I was invited to the Finnish company Stockmann as Head Chef for Russia. I subsequently worked as a corporate chef for major holdings in Rostov-on-Don, Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok. In Khabarovsk, I developed and implemented the "Russian East" gastronomic concept — combining Nikkei cuisine with Pacific terroir. I mentored many chefs who still lead the best restaurants in the Far East.
I then spent three years managing the kitchen of the largest casino in Kazakhstan. As a consulting chef, I launched over thirty successful restaurant projects across Russia.
I flew to Bali at the invitation of the restaurant's owner, Mr. Anders.
